A man was rescued from thick mud in the Exe estuary on Saturday afternoon.
Fire Control received reports of the man being stuck in the mud at Starcross around 1.50pm.
Specialist rescue crews from Exmouth were quickly mobilised, along with two fire engines which came from Dawlish and Exeter, Devon.

The casualty was successfully freed from the mud by firefighters in 'flood suits', and was then left in the care of the ambulance service.
