In February 1978 Gwynedd's new centralised ambulance control centre in Caernarfon was the envy of other ambulance services.
Wrexham division of St John Ambulance Brigade is seen at the charity’s county buildings HQ in 1950. The Wrexham division was formed in 1927, comprising mainly miners and railwaymen.
