Charities and community groups across the area are now able to apply for a £1,000 cash boost.
This award has been made available by a builders merchant who is opening a new branch in Bootle, Merseyside.
To mark the opening of their new branch, Selco is inviting charities or community groups from in and around Liverpool to submit an application to win the cash injections as part of its Selco Stars Initiative.
Applicants are invited to explain in no more than 100 words how the money would benefit their organisation.
Entries can be made by filling in this online form by midnight on Wednesday, March 24.
In addition to the one winner selected from the Selco Stars initiative, the company will make a £2,000 donation to its new charity partner Global’s Make Some Noise, which helps small projects that support disadvantaged children, young people and their families who are living with illness, disability or lack of opportunity.
Lee Connor, branch manager at Selco Liverpool, said: "We’re very excited to be opening in a new city, and there’s no better way to celebrate than by offering a great opportunity to local charities and community groups.
"So many organisations do such fantastic work in our community and we are very proud to be able to give them the chance to win a sum of money which will make a real difference.
"Donations to such organisations have never been more important in the wake of the pandemic and I’m sure we will receive plenty of outstanding entries."
