Armed police arrest man at Tiverton McDonalds

Armed police have arrested a man in McDonald’s in Tiverton, Devon.

Around 10am on Wednesday, January 27, police were notified about a male who may have been in possession of a firearm and was alleged to have made threats towards a female.

The suspect’s vehicle was later spotted in the car park of McDonald’s on Lowman Way and armed units attended the scene.

No firearms were discovered but a 27-year-old man from Somerset was arrested and cautioned for possession of the class B drug cannabis.
