Attention all artists! Harley Gallery wants to see your work for chance to be in major show
Anybody can enter the Harley Open competition and here's how to do it
Artists are being invited to submit their work for the opportunity to be shown in the award-winning Harley Gallery, in Nottinghamshire.
If selected, their work will be put on display in the gallery from July 27-October 13. There’s also prizes up for grabs, including the £2500 grand prize, sponsored by The Harley Foundation.
The Harley Open Exhibition is a biennial competition which attracts an impressive range of artists. Anyone can enter their work for consideration for the exhibition, whether they are professional or a hobbyist, experienced or just starting out.
The only restrictions are that artists should be from within 100 miles of the Harley Foundation on the Welbeck estate south of Worksop, and entries must be original, wall-based art, made in the last two years.
Lisa Gee, director at The Harley Gallery, said: “What makes the Open so exciting is the range of work that we get to see. It can be really hard to get your art shown in galleries and this exhibition levels the playing field.
"You don’t need a huge portfolio or exhibition list to get
involved – you just need to send us some photos of your art. This means we get a brilliant, diverse range of art to exhibit, and emerging artists get an opportunity to show their work.”
Open Exhibition entrants have gone on to have their own solo shows both at The Harley Gallery and in other exhibition spaces.
