Bath school teacher wins £15,000 on a 75p competition ticket
To enter the competition, all the social sciences teacher had to do was answer a skilled competition question
A school teacher from Bath found out he had scooped a £15,000 cash prize on a 75p ticket just minutes before he had to teach a class.
Jake Mitchell from Bath was about to teach a psychology class when he discovered he has won £15,000 on a Best of the Best competition.
Jake, who paid just 75p for his ticket to enter, said he will put the money towards a new car and a holiday to Mexico.
He currently drives a Honda Civic but said he would love to upgrade to the latest model.
"We’re meant to be going to Mexico in August so I’ll probably upgrade our room and add some luxuries to the holiday," he added.

He said: “I guess the pressure was on to get the questions right being as I’m a teacher.
"The question was about Formula One and while I’m not the biggest sports fan, luckily I did know the answer as I’d read an article on it just a couple of weeks before."

He said: “It took a while for us to get through to Jake because he was teaching, but once we got hold of him it was worth the wait.
"He seems like a lovely guy and I’m sure he’s going to have a lot of fun car shopping with his new cash."
