Mother's Day this year was a little different for everyone, but a local care home was determined to make the day special for its residents.
Residents at Chester Court celebrated by enjoying flower arranging and making their own chocolate treats.
Staff also organised an afternoon with cakes and wine. Residents had a range of wine and alcohol free wine to choose from and spent the afternoon reminiscing about their childhoods and their own children.
Mary, a resident at the home in Bedlington, Northumberland, said: “I am so grateful to the staff here who try so hard to make days like this extra special for us all and it was wonderful to be able to see my family safely using the visiting suite.”
Relatives who were unable to visit the home, were able to have video calls with their mums.
