Submitted by Woodlands Animal Sanctuary

If you have visited Woodlands Animal sanctuary you will have probably met goats Bert and Ernie, or if you just follow the sanctuary you will have heard staff talk about the dynamic duo that keep staff on their toes.

Unfortunately, Bert hasn’t been well for the past week, he hasn’t been eating and just wasn’t himself at all. He went to the vet’s earlier this week to have some work done on his teeth and the team are hoping that that will give him some relief so he starts eating normally again.

Bert

Bert is used to going out in the horsebox with his buddy Ernie, a solo trip is out of the ordinary for him, but he still behaved impeccably and did the charity proud.

A few years ago, three more goats came to live at Woodlands and they were named Harry, Ron & Hermione.

Ron

Whilst Bert was away at the vets, Ron, decided that he had a very poorly hoof and couldn’t possible even stand up, spending most of his time lying down! So another vet was called to see Ron, who upon their arrival, strutted around proudly without any sign of a lame step!

Welcome to life with goats!

If you would like to keep up to date with the antics of Bert, Ernie and co. You can sponsor them with one of Woodlands three different sponsorship packages and even get the chance to visit and spend some time with them if you choose the Gold package.
