Police are warning BMW owners to tighten up on security after a spate of thefts in Bracknell and Wokingham.

Thames Valley Police say thieves have been targeting the M Sport models, which are sold new from around £32,000.

They say crooks are particularly looking for models made between 2014 and 2018.

There have been several reports of break-ins in the two neighbouring boroughs where thieves have stolen the steering wheel, dashboard and centre console.

Police have issued security advice to owners to keep their car in a garage if they have one, to install CCTV cameras or a dash cam inside the car.

Drivers are also advised to get a steering wheel lock for their vehicles.

More information on preventing vehicle crime can be found on Thames Valley Police's website.
