A Bolton based company have pledged to raise at least £25,000 for children by racing around the world.
Staff at K3 Capital Group PLC will not actually be leaving the UK for the 30-day challenge, all of the 'racing' will be done on exercise bikes.
The huge challenge will see them raise money for vital funding of the NSPCC by teaming up with other offices across the UK, in Dubai, Cyprus and Cayman Islands to travel 25,000 miles.
For every mile travelled, the company will be donating £1 to charity, and challenges already set up to reach the target include the Knight Corporate Finance team cycling the distance from their Warrington office to the firm’s London office, which could raise more than £2,000 towards the total.
Gary Edwards, Head of Marketing for K3 Capital Group PLC, said: “A Group-wide charity appeal was first proposed by Lyn Devonport of Knightsbridge Business Sales, one of the Group’s subsidiaries, and put into action as ‘Around the World in 30 Days’ by CEO John Rigby and the Group’s marketing team just before Christmas.
"John set an example for the rest by getting up early on day one to complete the first 20 miles before hopping on a train to London for a day of meetings, and from there our staff have collectively travelled almost 18,000 miles in just 20 days.
“We are very pleased to say that we have already raised more than £2,000 for the NSPCC alone, and we’re hoping to boost this further with the help of our generous partners and suppliers.
"Everyone taking part in the challenge is giving their all, and we’re delighted to be supporting the NSPCC and other great causes, including MIND, Alder Hey Children’s Charity, We See Hope and Bowel Cancer UK.”

Vickie Butcher, NSPCC Community Fundraising Manager, said: “This is an amazing challenge, and we’re hugely grateful to everyone at K3 Capital Group PLC for their support in raising essential funds for the NSPCC.
“Every £4 raised could help our Childline service offer a counselling session to a young person in their hour of need, so these wonderful fundraisers could have already changed the lives of 500 children across the UK.
"We wish them all the best for the rest of their journey and look forward to hearing more about their progress as the challenge continues.”
