Brain injury charity celebrates 20th anniversary
Head Forward Centre announced its 20th anniversary as South Manchester’s only social integration day centre for adults living with brain injury.
The Head Forward Centre has been a hidden gem in the brain injury sector for the last 20 years, helping adults living with brain injury to integrate socially, make friends and learn new skills in a safe environment where they can establish meaningful relationships.
Attendees describe Head Forward Centre as being a place that is life-changing, an environment without pressure and somewhere to combat the social isolation many brain injury sufferers face. Attendees also report that the consistency of the staff at the centre makes them feel at ease.
In addition to providing a facility for social integration, the staff at the Head Forward Centre support attendees with day-to-day household admin and provide a listening ear for any issues, while our trustees offer expertise and advice on serious matters such as the personal injury process, case management and physiotherapy.
The Head Forward Centre is the only day centre in South Manchester of its kind, treating adults with both traumatic and other acquired brain injuries.
