Burns clubs unite to commemorate The Bard
Prestwick Burns Club has joined with the Bachelors Performers Club of Tarbolton, to hold a joint Annual Burns Dinner in the Carlton Hotel, Prestwick, on January 13.
Two Burns clubs are joining forces to co-host an event in Prestwick, South Ayrshire, to commemorate The Bard.

Guests should arrive at 6.30pm for 7pm start.
Tickets are being held at £25 this year.
Drinks can be pre-ordered from the Carlton and collected to save time on arrival.
Members of both clubs can now purchase tickets for themselves and their friends by completing a bank transfer for the total amount of tickets required to the following business account: Prestwick Burns Club. Sort code 80-09-48 account no. 00740914 (please select “business” when given the choice of personal or business account).
If you wish to pre-book a bottle of wine for the dinner, contact the Carlton Hotel direct on 01292 476811. This will be waiting for you at your table.
The seating plan will be emailed to those who have ordered tickets and the plan will also be on display at the door to the venue and name tags and the evening’s programme will be on the table at your seat.
A spokesperson for the organisers said: “All non-member guests must be booked and paid for as part of a member’s dinner party and we will try, where possible, to seat the party together.
“All to be seated by 6.50pm to allow the top table to be welcomed to their seats by other guests and allow proceedings to commence at 7pm prompt.”
Chairperson for the evening will be Alasdair Donaldson, PBC’s President.
Please ensure you book your ticket as soon as possible so that you are guaranteed seats at the dinner and also this will help your committee pull together a final seating plan and get it out to you well before the event.
The spokesperson said: “When completing your bank transfer for your tickets, please include your name as the reference and also email me to let me know how many tickets you have paid for.”
