People living in Woosehill could experience low pressure after a burst pipe sent water gushing into the road.

South East Water has confirmed its engineers are working to repair the pipe in Woosehill Spine Road, Wokingham, after being made aware of the leak at around 8am on Monday, July 9.

Teams are on site carrying out a repair on an 8 inch water main.

South East Water’s Distribution Manager Philip Cereda said: “We have rerouted water around our network of underground pipes, and all customers should still have water, however some may experience temporary low pressure.

“Unfortunately, emergencies do happen from time to time on our extensive network of underground pipes which at the moment, due to this hot weather, is carrying more than 620 million litres of water every day through 9,000 miles of mains and more than six million joints."
