Carmarthen family raises £1,000 for Cancer Research Wales in memory of husband and father

A Carmarthen family has raised more than £1,000 in aid of Cancer Research Wales in memory of a much loved and missed husband and father.

The family auctioned off many personal items belonging to Michael Benbough-Jackson of Priory Steet, who passed away on June 2 last year and raised a total of £1006.

His wife Ivy Benbough-Jackson has thanked Carmarthen-based Peter Francis Auctioneers who handled the sale of the lots on her behalf to raise money for Cancer Research Wales.

Some of them were paintings Mrs Benbough-Jackson had painted herself over the years.

The money raised was presented to Cancer Research Wales' national fundraising manager Natalie de Maid by Ivy Benbough-Jackson’s great niece Bella (both pictured above).
