Planning applications received by Mendip District Council last week include:

  • Application for prior notification of agricultural development for a proposed building at Manor Farm, Kennard Moor Drove, Coxbridge, Glastonbury, Somerset.

Planning applications decided by Mendip District Council last week include:

  • Application for a non-material amendment to permission 2019/1513/VRC for the replacement of ash trees with hornbeam or field maple in the Ecological Management Plan (description amended 05.03.2021) at land north of Butleigh Drove, Pedwell, Somerset. Approval.
  • Bat roosting tower at Station Farm, Shapwick Road, Westhay, Somerset. Approval with conditions.
  • First-floor extension over existing bungalow at 35 Silver Road, Street, Somerset. Approval with conditions.

  • Retention of use of land for storage of caravans and motorhomes at 9 Berhill, Ashcott, Somerset.
  • Application to determine if prior approval is required for a single-storey extension extending 2.1m from the rear elevation at 6 School Hill, Ashcott.
  • New dwelling on site of existing commercial buildings to be demolished at 59A Broadway, Chilton Polden, Somerset.
  • Application to determine if prior approval is required for single-storey extension extending 6m from the rear (south) elevation at 17 Willmotts Close, Chilton Polden.

Planning applications decided by Sedgemoor District Council last week include:

  • Single-storey rear (west) extension, proposed new bay window on the side (north) elevation, with the addition of two skylights, and conversion of garage to form a utility room and store at The Old Pound, Church Road, Edington, Somerset. Granted permission.
