Wolves are the favourites to sign AFC Bournemouth striker Benik Afobe.

The Championship leaders' odds to secure the capture of the forward have been slashed to 5/2 by Skybet.

West Brom, Crystal Palace and Watford are also all interested in the player who has scored only 11 goals in 70 games for the Cherries.

Leeds United could turn to Liverpool goalkeeper Adam Bogdan (pictured above) - if Andy Lonergan leaves.

Lonergan is being targeted by Sunderland and the *Yorkshire Evening Post *reports the former Bolton player is the one Leeds will turn to.

Bogdan, 30, is down the pecking order on Merseyside and would jump at the opportunity of securing first-team football.

New Aston Villa loan signing Axel Tuanzebe is targeting promotion with his new club after joining from Manchester United.

The 20-year-old is Villa's first signing of the window and is hoping to help his side back to the Premier League.

"It's an exciting time at this football club and everyone is pushing for promotion – that's the big aim, you can feel that here. I am determined to help this club achieve its goal," he said.

Millwall boss Neil Harris has challenged new signing Jason Shackell to earn a permanent contract.

The defender has joined the south London club on loan for the rest of the season on Derby County.

"He's got it all to play for because his future probably doesn't look to be at Derby," Harris told South London Press and Mercury.

Ipswich Town striker David McGoldrick will be allowed to leave for £500,000, report the Birmingham Mail.

The forward is out of contract at the end of the season and has been linked with a number of clubs, including Birmingham and Cardiff City.

"None of us want to lose him but we'll see what happens," said his Ipswich boss McCarthy.

Left-back Kevin O'Connor has left Preston North End for a loan at Fleetwood Town.

The defender, who signed last summer from Cork City, has signed with the League One club for the rest of the season.

O'Connor has only played eight times for the Lilywhites.
