An under strength Castrol Club went out of the Wirral & District Amateur cup away at Rockpoint 3-2.
Castrol Club took the lead on 21 minutes with a goal from Kris Jones. Straight from the restart, Rockport drew level with Kyle Bennett the marksman. After 35 minutes played Rockpoint lost their goalkeeper to serious injury and play restarted after the 10-minute injury delay. Then on 40 minutes Rockport took the lead.
David Bow from the penalty spot put them 2-1 ahead at half time. On 75 minutes Jason Riggers put Rockpoint further ahead with a 35 yard shot into the top left hand top corner of the Castrol’s net for 3-1.
Castrol were awarded a free kick with 10 minutes left to play which Steve Lowe blasts home from 30 yards for final score 3-2 to Rockpoint.
Will Furmedge gave Tarvin Rex a flying start scoring in the first minute. Craig Rogers equalised from the penalty spot for Dee Rangers. Will Furmedge then added his second for Tarvin to go in at the half time break 2-1 up. 10 minutes into the second half Dee drew level again with Kevin Gardener on target for them.
Tom Killilea left footed finish put Tarvin back in front again. With 15 minutes remaining stand in keeper Gary Wilson (Usually a striker, and is top scorer with 11 goals to his tally) long wind assisted punt up field with one bounce over Tarvin's stranded keeper for Dee's third equaliser of the game to make it 3-3. The Game went straight to a penalty shootout with Dee coming out on top after 14 penalties taken, 6-7, Jason Lucas scored Dee's seventh and winning spot kick.
