During the past week training at Chipstead Football Club near Sevenoaks has not just been about football. The club committee has also focused on the needy and organised collections of food bank items at all of their training sessions.
Collection points were set up at Chipstead Recreation Ground, New Beacon School and Knole Academy, involving every age group at the club including the First team and Vets sides.
The response to the request for help was completely overwhelming and 30 boxes of much needed items were provided for both the Sevenoaks Loaves and Fishes Food Bank and the newly formed Sevenoaks Larder.
The club also made a substantial donation of selection boxes to top up the "treats".
Chipstead FC would like to extend a huge thank you to all of their members who contributed to the collections making all of this possible.
The response was amazing and the club has expressed their gratitude for the support.

This is just another charitable contribution from Chipstead FC who throughout the season support the Hospice in the Weald by raising money with a mini soccer tournament, the purchase of "Poppies for Kits" supporting the Royal British Legion and mini football games raising money for Prostate Cancer UK.
Chipstead FC would like to wish all their members a very Merry Christmas and a Happy and Healthy New Year where they hope to be able to continue supporting our community.
