A fashion show and ladies' lunch held on International Women's Day in Cobham, has raised over £5,000 for the Newlife Charity for Disabled Children.
The event, which has been running for a decade, took place at the Hilton Hotel, in Cobham, Surrey and was attended by 120 women. Entertainment was provided by the Rock Choir, followed by a delicious lunch and then the fashion show featuring Marks and Spencer, Brooklands, and also items from the charity’s own store.
A raffle and auction added to the funds raised which will be in excess of £5,000. The organiser, Pam Ling, wanted to thank everyone involved in ensuring the return of the popular event, which was a success.
Pam said: "When I came home and was telling my husband about it all, it brought tears to my eyes. Having had the two-year break with the pandemic, the atmosphere in the room was so joyous, everyone was having a fabulous time, the models were amazing and M&S were so helpful and involved.
"When the choir started singing it brought everything together, it was a truly amazing day."
It was the fourth time the event has raised funds for Newlife Charity. More information on the charity can be found here: https://newlifecharity.co.uk/
