Crowborough women claim three wins from three
The three women's sides led the way for Crowborough.

Crowborough women claimed three wins from three games at the weekend.
Leading the way were the women’s first team with a superb 5-2 win over Burgess Hill.
A brace from Sharon McGinley helped them on their way, with goals also coming from captain Sam Williams and midfielder Lucy Smith.
The final strike came courtesy of a coolly taken penalty flick by Michele Hulse.
Still hopeful of a top three finish, the women’s second team made sure they were still in with a chance with a convincing 3-0 victory over Middleton. Naomi Tear started and finished the scoring.



In between, Jen Brough scored with a stunning strike from the top of the D.
Completing the hat-trick of wins were the women’s third team, who overturned the form book to record an impressive 5-2 win over Middleton.
Travelling with only 11 players, every member of the side gave their all to secure the win.
Lucy Gibson scored a brace, Rachel Valentine netted after a fierce battle with the goalkeeper, Lucy Brown made a scoring return and Katie Shearn scored her first league goal of the campaign.
The men’s first team played the afternoon home fixture and lost 3-2 to St Francis.
There were some excellent attacking moves from the home side, but goals from Josh Holman and Mike Lindley weren’t quite enough to take anything from the game.
Playing the late fixture at Lewes, the men’s second team gave a spirited display to take a point in a 2-2 draw.
Two fine goals from Joe Joyce and Matt Burns put real pressure on the home side, but the winner wouldn’t come.
The men’s third team repeated that feat with a 2-2 draw against South Saxons.
Their first goal was a team move, finished off by James Lee and the second saw Olly Sanday react quickest to force the ball over the line in a goalmouth scramble.
The girls development side finished the season strongly with a 2-1 win against Eastbourne. Eve Taylor got both goals in a first-class display.
The second game of the triangular saw them suffer a narrow defeat to South Saxons.
Sunday saw the boys South-East Counties side fall to defeat in a friendly against a higher-league Eastbourne side.
However, they put this lesson to good use and bounced straight back in the league game that followed, claiming a 1-1 draw with Addiscombe.
With a change of formation and a determination to flood the midfield, the young side took the lead with a fabulous strike from Eden Harding-Dempster.
There were more chances for the Crows before a clinical shot from the away side made honours even.
Alfie Rawlings continued to create chances, but Addiscombe defended deep and held on.
