Croydon Women's winning run came to an abrupt halt against Kenningwell, as the two sides played out a 2-2 draw.
Several players were late arriving to Barnes Common due to on-going issues with Hammersmith Bridge, and this replicated in a game that struggled to flow.
On a warm Mother’s Day it was Kenningwell who nurtured the early exchanges, with their strikers full of early energy that tested the Croydon's defence immediately.
On the 22nd minute their pressure paid off by scoring first following a well delivered corner. The Trams' clearance fell to a Kenningwell player who struck a fine effort into the roof of the net.

They could have doubled the lead, but for the bravery of Jade Asagba lunging to block a certain second.
It was Asagba herself who ventured into the Kenningwell box to side foot into the net to equalise from a Nic D’Aranjo corner.
Kenningwell took the lead again on 70 minutes. A free-kick 25 yards from goal was struck beyond the Croydon goalkeeper.
The Trams were in danger of going down to the their first league loss of the season, and urgently needed to get a goal back.
There some frenetic play for those final 20 minutes, mostly in the Kenningwell half, but in the 85th minute a free-kick was awarded to Croydon.
Up stepped Kacie Nadison-Singh who struck the ball sweetly, hitting the goalkeeper's leg on the way in to equalise.
Croydon had a succession of D’Aranjo corners late on but the Kenningwell goalkeeper was on form, as was the Trams’ stopper Ana Busarello to deny a late effort which ensured both teams claimed a point.
Croydon only need one more point to be crowned champions in their last three matches, the next being on Sunday, April 3 at Green Lane Sports Ground against Hounslow CB.
