Two intrepid daredevils from housebuilder, Persimmon Homes, are braving the skies for charity next month.

Karen Watts and Meg Smithers are set to jump out of a plane at 15,000 feet in aid of charity Daisy’s Dream, based in Twyford, in Berkshire.

The event is set to take place at Old Sarum Park in Salisbury, in Wiltshire on May 8, where the pair will kickstart the 2021 Daisy’s Dream Skydiving campaign in a bid to raise a total of £15,000 for the charity.

Daisy’s Dream supports children and families across Berkshire facing and following bereavement. Their professionally qualified Therapeutic Practitioners are on hand to offer families the support and guidance they need. All of their work is provided free of charge.

Sales manager Karen and Meg, a sales administrator, at Persimmon have set themselves a personal target of £5,000 which they are well on the way towards smashing with support from friends, family, and colleagues.

Karen said: “A skydive is something that I have wanted to do for some time and when the opportunity to jump for Daisy’s Dream came up I thought what better way to tick it off the list - while raising money for an incredible charity.”

Vicky Maunder, events and engagement officer at Daisy’s Dream, said: “We have been lucky enough to be chosen as Persimmon’s charity of the year for the last two years, a fantastic partnership that is really important to us, as it enables us to plan for the future and reassure families that we will be able to provide them with the support they need, for as long as they need us.

“We hope Karen and Meg are excited and looking forward to their skydive experience.”
