Diamond celebrations for Troon great-grandparents
The couple were gifted flowers and a card from South Ayrshire Council
A pair of doting great-grandparents have toasted to six decades of marital bliss.
William and Margaret Gilchrist, from Troon, recently celebrated their Diamond Wedding Anniversary.
William, who is originally from Oxton, met Margaret, from Galston in Aberdeen, before getting hitched and moving to the Ayrshire seaside town.
The couple married at Galston Parish Church and settled down in Troon, where they have lived happily for the last five decades.
They have four children, eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
South Ayrshire Council’s Provost Iain Campbell visited Bill and Margaret to congratulate them on their milestone anniversary.
