Drivers have been using search engine Google to share their parking complaints online

Drivers in Brighton make more parking complaints online than anywhere in the UK according to new research.

Data from Co-Wheels Car Club has revealed that people in the seaside resort made 3,576 Google searches complaining about parking per 100k of the population, as frustrated drivers go online to vent their parking rage.

The South East and South West regions of England dominated the rankings with a number of cities appearing high in the table such as Bournemouth and Bristol.

Top ten UK cities for parking complaints per 100k population

  1. Brighton and Hove: 3,576 searches
  2. Bournemouth: 2,953 searches
  3. Bristol: 2,234
  4. Edinburgh: 2,151 searches
  5. Manchester: 1,962 searches
  6. Norwich: 1,571 searches
  7. Reading: 1,570 searches
  8. Leeds: 1,531 searches
  9. London: 1,508 searches
  10. Portsmouth: 1,483 searches
