Weald Hall care home in Epping is hosting a free family WWII event on Saturday, July 1, and everyone is invited. Join them from 11 am onwards for WWII re-enactments from the Home Guard, 11th Medium Regiment, General Service Corps, as well as vehicle demonstrations.
The home is encouraging people to bring a picnic and enjoy its beautiful grounds. Weald Hall is located right next door to North Weald airfield so you may even be able to enjoy the comings and goings of aircraft.
Residents and staff are looking forward to the event, which is sure to bring back some memories for some of the residents. They can't wait to invite people to spend the day with them enjoying the historical activities.
Weald Hall was taken over by Premium Care Group in the summer of 2022. The changes have seen the management transformed, with improvements being made to staff training and development and personalised care and activity programmes, which in turn has seen its CQC rating change from requires improvement to Good.
