Fans all shook up as Reading Elvis joins the Readipop lineup

Music fans are in for a treat as David Allon, better known as Reading Elvis, joins the line up for Readipop.
The Reading legend will be playing a DJ set of his favourite Elvis Presley floor fillers.
Reading Elvis will be joining Odyssey, Goldie Lookin Chain, Stereo MCs, 808 State, Dawn Penn, who were announced for the three-day festival earlier this year.
Held along the banks of the River Thames, Readipop Festival will take place from Friday, July 13 until Sunday, July 15 in Christchurch Meadows, George Street, in Reading, Berkshire.
Reading Elvis' passion for music and the town makes him the perfect addition to the three day event that raises money for local music and arts projects.
His last public appearance left quite an impression when hundreds of people gathered to watch him switch on the Broad Street Mall's Christmas lights in 2017.

His Broad Street Mall appearance was made possible after a successful online campaign started by his fans.
Born in 1949, Mr Allon has dedicated his life to collecting Elvis memorabilia, making him a local celebrity.
Although first and second release weekend tickets for Readipop have already sold out, third release tickets cost £30 for the weekend, with children under 14 given free entry with a paying adult.
