Reading FC have confirmed the snow will not affect Tuesday night's clash with Sheffield United.
Royals take on the Blades in the Championship at Madejski Stadium with kick-off at 8pm.
Freezing temperatures as low as minus six have been predicted with snow flurries also likely.
However, Reading say there is no doubt about the game taking place.
The club has no fewer than 19 miles of undersoil heating pipes below the pitch and this will help prevent the surface from freezing over.
Around 700 Sheffield United fans are expected to make the trip down south for the game.
Fans of both clubs are advised to leave as much time as possible to get to the game and take extra care when walking and driving around the stadium (RG2 0FL).
