In the Concorde Trophies Section A, FC Mitchell Construction narrowed the gap on the leaders with another single goal victory over a spirited Tarvin Rex.
A Sean Weaver penalty and a strike from Jack Shepherd gave the home team an early lead, but Luke Noble- Smith reduced the deficit before half time. A goalless second half, despite Tarvin hitting the woodwork twice, saw Mitchell's take the points.
The three top teams in the C D.Vale Brickwork Section B all recorded victories to keep their title hopes on track. Leaders Custom House were made to work hard at Upton YC, with the teams going into the break at 2-2. Two late goals from Andy Hornsby and Dale Harris sealed the win after first half strikes from Jack McGovern and Matthew Rawlinson. Strikes from Luke Finch and Matty Shorrock had kept Upton in the game.
Second placed Dee Rangers left it late to narrowly overcome AFC Tattenhall's resistance at The Flacca. Adam Wilson, Drew Fowlie and Craig Rogers were on target to clinch the win, with James Withe and Sean Weatherby replying for Tattenhall.
Third placed Axis United eventually ran out comfortable victors over Waverton Centurion but had to wait 50 minutes before breaking the deadlock. The floodgates then opened and they boosted their goal difference with a 5-0 win, thanks to a brace from Jordan Fulton, and singles from George Farrell, Leon Flatman, and Josh Gannon.
Surprise result of the day came in the AJL Sports Management Section C where leaders The Gunners lost their 100% record in a 1-1 draw with Saughall Colts. A strike from Will Blance earned the point for Colts, who also missed a penalty and hit the woodwork twice. Ryan Nicholl was on target for Gunners.
Second placed Jackswood closed the gap on the leaders after edging a 2-1 win against Madisons in an entertaining game. Strikes from Jack Pickering and Mason Cartwright earned the points, with Ellis Bridger replying for Madisons.
Strikes from Ian Johnson and Cam Bolger were enough to give Horse and Jockey the three points against Great Sutton in a 2-0 win.
