Ashville regained top spot in the race for the MSC Express West Cheshire League's Division One title thanks to a 2-0 result over Mossley Hill Ath.

Josh Maldon and Tom Hartley were the marksmen as the Wallasey challengers opened up a two point lead at the top.

Unbeaten Bootle St Edmunds maintained interest, following a 3-1 victory over Rainhill Town which saw efforts from Mark Madden, Stewy Jackson and Tom Hewlett and it was a profitable run out for Vauxhall Motors Res. who were anchored to a 5-0 win at Aintree Villa by doubles from Zarek Urrutia and Jack Kelly.

Ben Coward, Jack Delgado, Jordan Davies and Brandon Dickinson shared the goals as Chester Nomads eclipsed  Marshalls 4-0 and recorded their fifth win of the season.

In Division Two, Lennon Whewell's six goal contribution helped second placed Litherland Remyca Res. to an 8-2 win at Cheshire Lines and it was business as usual for leaders, Marine U23'S who overcame Poulton Vics 4-1 with efforts from Kyle Campbell (2), Harrison Worden and Liam Paton.

West Kirby returned to winning ways and had Harrison Hindley, Sam Hayley and Jordan Chwalko on target in a 3-1 triumph over Marshalls Res. but a goal from Jordan Martin failed to prevent Mallaby from going down 2-1 at home to South Sefton Borough.

A solitary effort from Dom Bazely was enough for Runcorn Sports to get the better of Rainford Utd. but Helsby's promotion drive was interrupted after they lost 2-1 to Mossley Hill Ath.Res.  Sonny Dean netted Helsby's consolation. An effort from Callum Hughes and an own goal proved scant reward for Ashville Res. who lost 3-2 at South Liverpool Res.

Saturday's Division Three action saw Poulton Royal's chances of whittling Sutton Ath.'s lead at the top suffer after they fell victim to a penalty from Groves' Harrison Cooper and that result allowed third placed Bootle Res. to take closer order, Lewis Gell netting the game's only goal at Capenhurst Villa Res.

A brace from James Stolberger was supplemented by a goal from Joe Collins as South Lverpool 3rds overcame Neston Nomads 3-2, Cam Meadows claiming both goals for the visitors. Elsewhere, Mark Goldthorpe made the score sheet for Chester Nomads Res. but it was visitors, Poulton Vics Res., who profited via a 4-1 scoreline,  courtesy of replies from Kyle Bennett(2) Jacob McLaughlin and Liam Whelan.

Youth Division leaders Vauxhall Motors stayed  ten points clear of the chasing pack,  after Alfie Tomlinson and Bill McGee found the net in a 2-1 win at Mossley Hill, while nearest rivals, South Liverpool stayed in touch, when  they won 4-1 against  City of Liverpool with efforts from Jordan Monthe, Jack Burke, McKenzie Hilton and Jamie Kilcourse. The visitors responded through Charlie Hacking.

Tom Ward's hat trick, coupled with further goals from Joe Howard and Ruben Edwards sparked City of Liverpool Partisans' to a 5-0 victory over Maghull while the points were shared, after an effort from Victoria Colts' Harry Wood was cancelled out by a reply from Poulton Vics' Jay Mizen.

Runcorn Linnets' second win of the season came when Mike Martin (2) and Luke Smith applied the finishing touches in a 3-0 win against BRNESC.
