Their delicious Cookies in a Jar are now available on the shelves of several local farm shops.

A Brentwood School young enterprise team have scooped a top accolade at the Easter Trade Fair in Chelmsford, Essex.

Specialising in making baking nice and simple, the students who have called themselves 'Sustainably Simple', won the prize of Overall Best Company with their stand at the Meadows Shopping Centre.

The judges were very impressed with the baked goods on offer, quoting that their delicious wares were: "Too good for a student company" and "I would expect to find this product in John Lewis and House of Fraser, very impressive."

CEO of the company and Lower Sixth form student at the school in Brentwood, Essex, Olivia Argent, said:  “Our business provides the satisfaction of creating a delicious treat whilst keeping it a straightforward experience."

Olivia added: "Our high quality, natural ingredients come together to form mouth-watering cookies that please everyone. All you have to do is pour the ingredients into a bowl and follow a few simple steps as seen on the index card tied to the neck of the jar. That’s it.

“It is accessible to everyone due to its simplicity - the whole family can have the bonding experience of baking these delicious treats. From the youngest to the oldest in the family, this will spark joy among everyone.”

Their award-winning product - Cookies in a Jar - has so impressed the professionals that jars are now available on the shelves of several local farm shops.  They can also be purchased online.
