Former Ayrshire mental health hub could make way for veterinary practice

Plans are in place to turn the former Strathyre House Ayr Action for Mental Health building, on Prestwick Road, Ayr, into a veterinary practice.
Proposals are in place from County Vets Ltd and are listed as “pending consideration” on South Ayrshire Council’s online planning portal.
The plans include two consultation rooms, reception, office space, two operating theatres, kennel room, utility room and toilet facilities.
The applicant is seeking a change of use of the building in order to make way for the veterinary plans.
