LOCAL FUNDING: Grants manager Rachèle Verrier

A free advice clinic for voluntary organisations who support children and young people in Thanet is taking place later this month.

Kent Community Foundation has been funding organisations across the county for more than 20 years and has awarded more than £300,000 to charities and community groups in Thanet last year.

Grants manager Rachèle Verrier will be holding an advice clinic for groups who support children and young people to discuss funding of up to £5,000 from the Albert Burns Children’s Trust Fund.

The clinic will be held at the Millmead Early Years Centre, Dane Valley Road, Margate on Thursday, September 29, and appointments are available between 11am and 3pm.

Rachèle said: “I am looking forward to meeting local grassroots organisations and in particular those who have not previously received grants from Kent Community Foundation, to discuss what funding requirements they have and to offer tips on how to present their future applications.”
