Fury as council minutes are sent out on wrong coloured paper

Barry Edwards doesn't like green on black

A councillor has blasted the "unacceptable" way in which minutes have been sent to him in Northam.

Speaking at a council meeting of Northam Town Council on Wednesday, February 24, Councillor Barry Edwards said: “We are getting stuff coming through which is black on green and it is unacceptable.

“I find it difficult and many other people are too. I won’t be voting in favour of any minutes at the moment until we get this sorted.”

The town’s administrative apprentice Tina Tucker took the blame.

“I ordered the wrong paper, it’s my fault,” she said. “I should have ordered pale green instead of dark green and I didn’t want to waste paper. That is all it was.

The mayor, Councillor David Chalmers added: “Maybe we can find another use for that paper as councillors need to be able to read what they’re being sent.”
