Help three good causes at first Reading SOUP of the new year

Warm up with a bowl of nourishing soup and help charities raise money at the first Reading SOUP of 2018.

The three community projects pitching at the January Blues event are homelessness group Piaroo’s Wish; asylum seeker and refugee support group Sanctuary Hosting; and Dementia charity Younger People With Dementia Berkshire.

Alongside those inspiring causes, January Blues SOUP will also feature a special acoustic performance by delta blues group Dolly and the Clothespegs and some beautiful art will be on display from acrylic flow artist FeatherArt.

Reading SOUP January Blues will happen at 6.30pm on Wednesday, January 31 at the CIRDIC in Berkeley Avenue, Reading, Berkshire.

Entry is £5, which gets you a bowl of soup, live music, art and your vote for the charity you think deserves the proceeds from the door.

Each Reading SOUP event is based around the vegan-friendly soups the group takes its name from. For the January Blues event, the soups on offer will be Lentil and Spinach and Carrot and Ginger. There will also be croutons, hot and cold drinks, plus some sweet treats.
