Hemyock and Clayhidon residents raise hundreds for Poppy Appeal

Hemyock and Clayhidon residents have £1,242.86 towards this year’s Poppy Appeal.

The money was raised despite being unable to do a door to door collection this year and inclement weather.

A small number of volunteers manned the milk churn outside of the Post Office where £515.71 of the total amount was donated.

David Bawler the RBL Honorary Poppy Appeal Organiser for Hemyock and Clayhidon said: “Many thanks to everyone for making 2020, a difficult year, so very successful.

“The wonderful eye-catching display at the War Memorial and church gates of hand crafted poppies along with the description of their different colours has brought many compliments of admiration.

“Warmest thanks to all those involved in creating such a memorable display.”
