Under lockdown, three creative children have been using their time to create a book, filled with lockdown memories, to raise funds for the NHS and the WellChild charity.

Having made the 40 page book, Freya, Thomas and Isla wanted to share their creation with others.

The book is not just a record of current times, but is also filled with fun activities and puzzles for children to enjoy, as well as subtly addressing children’s mental health.

Positive quotes and diary pages are included, which encourage children to write about their emotions and feelings. This was in response to an increasing amount of children that are feeling the effects of being away from normal life, not seeing family or friends and not benefiting from the routine of school life.

Freya, 7, who along with her brother, Thomas, 6 and her sister, Isla,3,  attends Brabyns Preparatory School in Marple said: “Its strange being home all the time, I miss my school and friends so I wanted to make something I could share with other children.

"We have heard how amazing the NHS is doing, how people are raising money for them and we wanted to help too. We are also worried about children who might be poorly and this is why we wanted to also include a children’s charity and chose WellChild."

The children's mother, Rebecca said: “The children expressed a desire over and over that they wanted to do something to help, which makes me so proud as a mum."
