Portrait returns to Markshall Estate after an absence of more than 50 years

HOME AT LAST: William Graham, son of Mr. Price’s agent with former agent of Markshall Estate, Richard Tattersall and Ann Lloyd, Chairwoman of the Aneurin Bevin University Health Board, at the handover of the portrait of Thomas Phillip Price

A 112-year-old painting has been returned to its rightful home at the Markshall Estate in Coggeshall.

The portrait of Thomas Phillips Price is now safely back where it belongs thanks to the efforts of Richard Tattersall.

Nominations wanted for Pride of Essex Awards 2022

Nominations are open for this year's Pride of Essex awards.

Organisers are thrilled that this year's awards will be back, in-person, at Anglia Ruskin University in Chelmsford this November.

It's Magic: Britain's Got Talent winner visits Chelmsford hospice

TRULY MAGICAL: Debbie de Boltz with Lance Corporal Richard Jones and Alison Stevens outside Farleigh Hospice

Celebrity magician and illusionist Lance Corporal Richard Jones recently paid a visit to Farleigh Hospice as he took up his position of new patron.

He spent time in the specialist inpatient unit where he talked to the care team about their work and entertained them with some of his special brand of magic.

Dogs given spotlight at Ingatestone horse sanctuary open day

BEST IN SHOW: The Remus Horse Sanctuary includes fun classes such as Bad Hair Day and Best Sausage Catcher.

Remus Horse Sanctuary in Ingatestone is welcoming members of the public to its Dog Show and Family Day next month.

Open days are a vital source of fundraising for the charity which, due to its location on greenbelt land, can only open to the public for a limited number of days each year.

East Tilbury fundraiser completes triple challenge for Helen Rollason Cancer Charity

GIVING BACK: Joanne after completing the Mardyke Valley Rotary Club Cycle Marathon.

Joanne Phillips, 54, has completed three challenges this year in aid of Helen Rollason Cancer Charity.

By completing the Peak District Ultra Challenge, the Jurassic Coast Ultra Challenge and the Easter 50 Challenge, Joanne has raised £747.
