Broomfield Hospital has recently opened the doors to a new surgical ward for children.
The Pegasus Ward can hold up to 11 patients at a time and has been designed with additional space for parents.

Superhero father and son complete 1,000 mile charity challenge in Rochford

Billy Mansell and his four-year-old son, Noah, raised £1,500 for their local hospitals by walking 1,000 miles dresses as iconic superheroes.
The #NHS1000miles challenge aims to inspire people to take personal responsibility for their own physical and mental health, in turn easing pressure on the NHS.

The Brentwood Half Marathon and Fun Run returns on Sunday, March 20.
