Charities set for big boost from 40th Brentwood Half Marathon

The event launch of the Brentwood Half Marathon in 2019.

This year, the Brentwood Half Marathon is celebrating 40 years of fundraising.

Many people take part in the Brentwood Half for fun, while others run in memory of a loved one. The event is also popular with sporting elites and charities who submit whole teams to run on their behalf.

Budding young scientists in Witham set to secure STEM award

The Maltings Academy in Witham is encouraging young scientists and engineers to get stuck into an afterschool STEM club.

The students will complete a ten-hour project to secure a Bronze CREST award.
