Here at the InYourArea Community News Team we love local and look to bring you as many news stories each week as we can.

This fortnightly round-up features a selection of some of the news stories from Hart District, Surrey Heath and the surrounding areas that we've told about your community that you may have missed between February 27 and March 12.

Many of the free training courses are delivered online via Zoom with anyone aged over 19 and with a Hampshire home postcode eligible to attend courses that have been designed to provide tailored support towards seeking employment.

That means residents in the Hart District or Rushmoor areas of Hampshire can take part in the sessions.

The course allows young people aged between 12 and 18 years old living with a disability to come and experience the magic and wonder of flight, often for the very first time.

Harvey Matthewson, aviation activities officer at Aerobility, said: “I know first hand the amazing experience that learning to fly can give a disabled person."

Hart Voluntary Action (HVA), which is based in Fleet, Hampshire, has shared a list of organisations which are in need of urgent support from the public following Russia's invasion.

It is already estimated that around a million people have left Ukraine.

Contributors were advised to use Google Translate in order to make a list in Polish of the contents of boxes and bags, this way making the distribution process more efficient at the border.

Supplies needed included nappies, alcohol wipes, warm clothes and shoes, toothbrushes and dental care, canned foods, and baby milk.

The Funfest is a fun-packed day for people with disabilities or special educational needs, their families and helpers.

The event is jointly organised by the following Lions clubs: Aldershot, Farnborough, Fleet, FLOGs, Hart, Hook and Odiham, Loddon Valley and Yateley and District.
