This fortnightly round-up features a selection of some of the news stories from Rushmoor that we've told about your community that you may have missed between April 12 and 25.
A well known member of the local music scene has released a new album celebrating the area’s performers, 30 years after releasing his first compiled album.
Released at the start of this month, Farnborough Groove Vol. 12 features music from a number of acts from across the area.
The mastermind behind the album is Pete Cole, 52.
Born in Farnborough, Mr Cole has compiled albums featuring music of local bands since 1991.
He hopes that featuring a number of these artists will give them some much needed exposure after what has been a tough 13 months.

A local nursery has turned a fallen tree into a number of carvings of much-loved Julia Donaldson characters.
Children at Crown Daisy Nursery, which operates from Anglesey House and Lodge on Farnborough Road between Farnham in Surrey and Aldershot in Hampshire, wanted to commission figures from the Gruffalo from the remains of the tree.
With the help of Bench-Marque a new adventure trial has been brought to life, with the 8 foot Gruffalo surrounded by his child, the cheeky mouse, owl, fox and snake.

It's now not long until residents across Rushmoor will be heading to the polls to take part in local elections.
The elections will see candidates across the region battle it out for seats in district councils, borough councils and county councils, as well as for the roles of police and crime commissioners.

A local Morrisons store has recognised a number of children who have put others before themselves during the coronavirus pandemic.
Youngsters from across the area were presented with certificates last week at the Morrisons store in Farnborough, Hampshire as part of the Morrisons Little Sunshine awards.

A local youth homelessness charity has received a large donation from insurance company Zurich.
Step by Step, who operate from Aldershot in Hampshire and help young adults and children across the region, were gifted a £10,000 grant from the Zurich Community Trust.
