Firefighters spent 40 minutes tackling the roadside blaze in the early hours of Monday morning.
An investigation was launched after a car went up in flames in Skelmersdale, West Lancashire.
Firefighters spent 40 minutes tackling the roadside blaze in the early hours of Monday morning.
Crews were called to Inglewhite, Birch Green, at 1.20am and arrived to find it well alight.
They extinguished the fire using breathing apparatus and a hose reel and an investigation into the cause of the fire is now under way
