Join Mission Conservation at Corfe Castle this half term

The National Trust team at Corfe Castle are inviting all members of the family, including adventurous teddy bears, to get involved in their latest quest this half-term – Mission Conservation. Children can become conservation champions by hunting the quest boards around the castle to learn how the National Trust protect and care for the ruins.

Those who complete the quest earn a limited-edition conservation token. The popular teddy bear zip-wire is back and visitors are encouraged to bring an adventurous cuddly toy or borrow a Corfe Castle veteran to zoom over The Great Ditch.

Teddy hard hats are available so they can survey the conservation works on their way down and teddy ‘selfies’ in front of the castle, will be encouraged. Eoin McDowell, experience and visitor programming manager at Corfe Castle said: “Corfe Castle is the perfect place for families this half-term.

“Children can  enjoy carefully designed activities while also blowing away cobwebs in the fresh air and parents can relax and enjoy the scenery.  Don’t forget to bring a teddy.... and there may be a surprise from the past!”

Corfe Castle is open from Saturday, February 10 to Sunday, February 18, 10am to 4pm daily. Normal admission with free entry for National Trust members.

Location: Corfe Castle, Dorset
