Julie Marson MP: Excitement in the run up to the Coronation
The latest updates from Hertford and Stortford
Submitted by Julie Marson MP
The Coronation is almost here and the atmosphere is one of huge excitement.
Preparations are in full swing and our local shops and highstreets are looking festive as ever. We do know how to celebrate these kinds of occasions well - I remember the fantastic Hertford Yarnbomber displays at Hertford Castle for the Jubilee just last year! I look forward to seeing everything that is on offer for us to enjoy this year too.
I am organising a competition with local primary school children in the lead-up to design a Coronation card for The King. I always enjoy running these kinds of community competitions and have already had lots of fantastic entries - it is going to be difficult to pick a winner! Keep an eye out for the winning design sent to His Majesty on my social media channels soon.

In other news, final talks between the Post Office and the application they are progressing are going well. Negotiations to bring back full services, including banking, to the old site on Ware High Street are now closing and refurbishment works are already underway.
I know how difficult the wait has been for many residents - this breakthrough certainly comes as a huge relief. I continue to work with all involved to see services there restored for people as soon as possible.
In the meantime, my casework load continues and I remain here to help. Please do not hesitate to get in touch.
