Leicestershire traffic: a round-up of recent TTROs

The following temporary traffic regulation orders have recently been announced:

Springbank, Medbourne

The purpose of the TTRO is to allow Leicestershire County Council to facilitate pothole repair works. The TTRO will incorporate a temporary road closure.

The duration of the restriction is not anticipated to exceed a period of one day commencing on August 18.

Rolleston Road, Billesdon

The purpose of the TTRO is to allow Western Power Distribution to facilitate the installation of new electricity mains to a developer's site.

The TTRO will incorporate a temporary road closure. The duration of the restriction is not anticipated to exceed a period of four days commencing on August 16.

Long Mere Lane, Diseworth

A road closure is required on Long Mere Lane on July 5 for two days. Works are scheduled to take place daily between 09.00 and 15.00.

The Temporary Traffic Regulation Order will be implemented for public safety for Leicestershire County Council to facilitate carriageway patching.

Church Lane, Swannington

An emergency road closure was required on Church Lane from June 19. The road will reopen once works have been completed.

The Temporary Traffic Regulation Order will be implemented for public safety for Severn Trent Water to facilitate emergency repairs. The proposed alternative diversion route will be signed on site

Humberstone Lane Service Road (The Dales), Thurmaston

A temporary road closure is required on Humberstone Lane Service Road on July 5 for one day. The road will be closed between Festival Avenue and Humberstone Lane.

The Temporary Traffic Regulation Order will be implemented for public safety to allow Leicestershire County Council to undertake carriageway patching works.

Church Lane, Thurmaston

A temporary road closure is required on Church Lane from July 1 for two days. The road will be closed for its entire length. Access will be maintained whenever it is safe to do so.

The Temporary Traffic Regulation Order will be implemented for public safety to allow City Fibre Contractors to undertake Ducting and Telecoms works.

Walcote Road, Gilmorton

A road closure is required on Walcote Road, Gilmorton, on July 5 for two days. The Temporary Traffic Regulation Order will be implemented for public safety for Leicestershire County Council to install a new pipe to the culvert and headwall.

The proposed alternative diversion route will be via:- A4304 (Walcote), A4303 (Lutterworth), A426 Rugby Road, Gilmorton Road, Lutterworth Road (Gilmorton) and vice versa.

Back Lane, East Langton

A road closure is required on Back Lane, East Langton, on July 5 for one day. The Temporary Traffic Regulation Order will be implemented for public safety for Leicestershire County Council to facilitate gully replacement works.

The proposed alternative diversion route will be via: Main Street and vice
versa.

Ingarsby Lane, Ingarsby

A road closure is required on Ingarsby Lane, Ingarsby, on July 5 for one day. The Temporary Traffic Regulation Order will be implemented for public safety for Openreach to facilitate maintenance works.

The proposed alternative diversion route will be via: Billesdon Road (Hungarton), Tilton Lane (Billesdon), A47 Uppingham Road (Houghton on the Hill), Ingarsby Lane and vice versa.

Warwick Avenue, Quorn

The purpose of the TTRO is to allow Cadent Gas to undertake works on new gas connections. The TTRO will incorporate a temporary road closure.

The duration of the restriction is not anticipated to exceed a period of five days commencing on August 2.

Pretoria Road, Ibstock

A prohibition of waiting and loading is required on Pretoria Road between property numbers 73 and 89 on July 1 for one day between 09.00 and 15.00.

The Temporary Traffic Regulation Order will be implemented for public safety for Leicestershire County Council to facilitate drainage investigation works.

Interlink Way East, Bardon

A road closure is required on Interlink Way East on July 3 for two nights from 20.00 to 06.00 each night.

The Temporary Traffic Regulation Order will be implemented for public safety for Leicestershire County Council to facilitate carriageway patching.

Forest Road, Coalville

A road closure is required on Forest Road at its junction with Central Road on July 14 for six weeks.

Prohibition of waiting/loading is required on Central Road to facilitate temporary traffic signals on Central Road near its junction with Forest Road for the duration of the works.

There will be no access to/from Forest Road via Central Road. Access to Baron Close will be maintained off Forest Road for the duration of the works. The Temporary Traffic Regulation Order will be implemented for public safety for Severn Trent Water to facilitate the installation of new infrastructure.

The proposed alternative diversion route will be via London Road, Hotel Street, High Street, Belvoir Road and vice versa.

Leicester Lane, Enderby

The purpose of the TTRO is to allow Leicestershire County Council to undertake carriageway patching work. The TTRO will incorporate a temporary road closure.

The duration of the restriction is not anticipated to exceed a period of one day between the hours of 09.00 and 15.00 commencing on July 29.

Leicester Road, Whitwick

The purpose of the TTRO is to allow Fox (Owmby) Ltd to safely facilitate S278 development works and carriageway resurfacing. The TTRO will incorporate a temporary road closure.

The duration of the restriction is not anticipated to exceed a period of one night commencing August 26. Works are proposed to take place overnight from 19.00 to 06.00.

Back Lane, Sileby

The purpose of the TTRO is to allow Severn Trent Water to safely undertake works to repair a fire hydrant in the carriageway. The TTRO will incorporate a temporary road closure and temporary suspension of the one-way system.

The duration of the restriction is not anticipated to exceed a period of three days commencing on August 25.

Scotland Road, Market Harborough

The purpose of the TTRO is to allow Network Rail to facilitate the repairs of an area of damaged brickwork. The TTRO will incorporate a temporary road closure.

The duration of the restriction is not anticipated to exceed a period of five nights commencing on September 20 between 23.00 - 06.00.

Gaulby Lane, Little Stretton

The purpose of the TTRO is to allow Leicestershire County Council to facilitate carriageway patching works. The TTRO will incorporate a temporary road closure.

The duration of the restriction is not anticipated to exceed a period of one day commencing on July 13 between 08.00 - 15.00.

Leicester Road, Thurcaston

The purpose of the TTRO is to allow Severn Trent Water to safely undertake works on a new water connection. The TTRO will incorporate a temporary road closure.

The duration of the restriction is not anticipated to exceed a period of three days commencing on August 9.

A511 Stardust Roundabout, Bardon

A road closure is required on Stardust Roundabout between the Leicester/eastbound entry and Coalville/westbound exit on July 12 for one day.

Works will take place between 09.00 and 15.00, but the closure is not anticipated to be in place for more than two hours.

The Temporary Traffic Regulation Order will be implemented for public safety for Leicestershire County Council to facilitate the removal of a dead tree from the roundabout.

The proposed alternative diversion route will be via: A511 Shaw Lane, Bardon/Markfield, Flying Horse Roundabout, and A511 Shaw Lane, Markfield/Bardon.

There will also be lane restrictions on A511 Shaw Lane and A511 Bardon Road to safely facilitate the removal of dead tree from the central reservation on A511 Bardon Road, Bardon and in the south/eastbound lay-by on Bardon Road on approach to Stardust Roundabout.

New Street, Loughborough

The purpose of the TTRO is to allow Leicestershire County Council to safely undertake footway maintenance works.

The TTRO will incorporate temporary parking bay suspensions and temporary prohibition of waiting and loading at any time restrictions.

The duration of the restriction is not anticipated to exceed a period of one day commencing on July 27.
