Leicestershire traffic notices: a round-up of recent orders

The following temporary traffic regulation orders have recently been announced:

Francis Lane, Newton

The purpose of the TTRO is to allow Leicestershire County Council to safely facilitate carriageway patching. The TTRO will incorporate a temporary road closure.

The duration of the restriction is not anticipated to exceed a period of one day commencing September 8.

Bosworth Road, Measham

The purpose of the TTRO is to allow Leicestershire County Council to safely facilitate carriageway patching. The TTRO will incorporate a temporary road closure.

The duration of the restriction is not anticipated to exceed a period of one day commencing on September 9. Works are proposed to take place between 09.30 and 14.30.

Repton Road, Measham

The purpose of the TTRO is to allow Leicestershire County Council to safely facilitate carriageway patching. The TTRO will incorporate a temporary road closure.

Access to affected businesses will be maintained, but there may be delays whilst the site is made safe for vehicles to pass. The duration of the restriction is not anticipated to exceed a period of one day commencing on September 9.

Church Lane, Whitwick

The purpose of the TTRO is to allow Leicestershire County Council to safely facilitate the relocation of a street lighting column.

The TTRO will incorporate a temporary road closure and parking restrictions. The duration of the restriction is not anticipated to exceed a period of three days commencing on October 20.

Works are proposed to take place between 09.00 and 15.00 daily.

Farm Lane, Donington le Heath

An emergency road closure is required on Farm Lane between Holts Lane and Berryhill Lane from August 12. The road will reopen once works have been completed.

The Temporary Traffic Regulation Order will be implemented for public safety for Severn Trent Water to facilitate emergency repairs.

Lily Bank, Thringstone

The purpose of the TTRO is to allow Western Power Distribution to safely facilitate tree cutting. The TTRO will incorporate a temporary road closure.

The duration of the restriction is not anticipated to exceed a period of one day commencing on October 25. Works are proposed to take place between 08.00 and 16.00.

Welham Road, Great Bowden

A road closure is required on Welham Road, Great Bowden on August 25 for three days.

The Temporary Traffic Regulation Order will be implemented for public safety for Severn Trent Water to facilitate pipe renewal works. The proposed alternative diversion route will be via: Sutton Road and vice versa.

Holt Lane, Ashby Magna

A road closure is required on Holt Lane, Ashby Magna on August 20 for one day.

The Temporary Traffic Regulation Order will be implemented for public safety for Leicestershire County Council to facilitate carriageway patching works.

The proposed alternative diversion route will be via: Cosby Lane, Lutterworth Road, Station Road and vice versa.

Kimcote Road, Gilmorton

A road closure is required on Kimcote Road, Gilmorton on August 16 for one day between 09.00 and 15.00.

The Temporary Traffic Regulation Order will be implemented for public safety to allow Phoenix Surfacing Limited on behalf of Barwood Homes to facilitate S278 full width carriageway resurfacing works.

The proposed alternative diversion route will be via: Lutterworth Road (Gilmorton), Gilmorton Road (Kimcote) and vice versa.

Footpaths I66, I73, Broome Lane, Rearsby Road, (Rearsby and East Goscote)

The purpose of the TTRO is to allow Network Rail to safely undertake track maintenance work on the level crossings.

The TTRO will incorporate temporary footpath closures and temporary road closures. Footpaths I66 and I73 will be closed either side of the level crossings from October 25 till March 4.

Rearsby Road, Rearsby, will be closed either side of the level crossing on November 20 for one night, 21.00 till 09.00.

Broom Lane, East Goscote, will be closed either side of the level crossing on October 31 for one night, 21.00 till 05.30. During all the works there will be no access for pedestrians.

Sibson Road, Birstall

Temporary parking bay suspensions and temporary prohibition of waiting and loading at any time restrictions are required on Sibson Road from September 13 for five days.

The restriction will be enforced, on both sides of the carriageway, between the Junction of The Wayne Way and property 137, including within the suspended parking bays.

The Temporary Traffic Regulation Order will be implemented for public safety to allow Leicestershire County Council to undertake carriageway drainage works.

Temporary restriction of Markfield Road and Bradgate Hill, Groby

Postponed: The work is now due to commence on August 23.

Slawston and its surrounding area

A road closure is required at various locations around Slawston, Cranoe and Welham on September 5.

The prohibition of waiting is required at various locations around Slawston, Cranoe, Welham and Hallaton from 7am on September 4 till 4pm on September 5.

The purpose of the TTRO is to allow Severn Trent Water to safely facilitate a new connection. The TTRO will incorporate a temporary road closure.

The duration of the restriction is not anticipated to exceed a period of three days commencing on November 17.

Langar Lane, Harby

A road closure is required at the Langar Lane road bridge on August 3 for four days. The Temporary Traffic Regulation Order has been implemented for public safety so Leicestershire County Council can carry out structural and carriageway bridge repairs.

The proposed alternative diversion route will be via: Langar Lane Harby, Harby Road, Munster Road Langar, Langar Road Barnstone, Barnstone Lane, Plungar Road Granby, Granby Lane, Highgate Lane Plungar, Long Lane, Harby Road Stathern, Stathern Lane, Main Street, Nether Street Harby and vice versa.
