Leicestershire traffic notices: a round-up of recent orders

The following temporary traffic regulation orders have recently been announced:

Shawell Lane, Catthorpe

The purpose of the TTRO is to allow Severn Trent Water to facilitate new connection works. The TTRO will incorporate a temporary road closure.

The duration of the restriction is not anticipated to exceed a period of three days commencing on October 20.

Church Lane, Stapleton

A road closure is required on Church Lane, Stapleton, from October 5, for one day - 09.00 to 15.00.

The Temporary Traffic Regulation Order will be implemented for public safety so Leicestershire County Council can facilitate carriageway patching and any other associated work to the highway.

Access to properties will be maintained, but a short delay in gaining access will occur whilst the area is made safe.

Beaufort Way, Oadby

The purpose of the TTRO is to allow Leicestershire County Council to undertake patching work. The TTRO will incorporate a temporary road closure.

The duration of the restriction is not anticipated to exceed a period of one day on October 20.

The Green, Markfield

The purpose of the TTRO is to allow JS Masonry Services to facilitate repair and rebuild works to a boundary retaining wall.

The TTRO will incorporate a temporary parking restriction. The duration of the restriction is not anticipated to exceed a period of 40 days commencing on October 25.

Main Street, Markfield

A road closure is required on Main Street - outside property number 184 - for 10m either side of the junction with Upland Drive on October 10 for one day.

The work is being carried out on a Sunday to minimise disruption. The Temporary Traffic Regulation Order will be implemented for public safety so STW and their contractors can undertake repairs to their apparatus and the highway.

The proposed alternative diversion route will be via: Ashby Road, Hill Lane, Forest Road, Main Street and vice versa.

Leicester Road, Narborough

A temporary one way is required on Leicester Road for three days commencing on October 11. There will be no access from Leicester Road onto King Edward Avenue.

Access from King Edward Avenue onto Leicester Road will remain open.

The Temporary Traffic Regulation Order will be implemented for public safety for Severn Trent Water to undertake short communication pipe renewals.

The proposed alternative diversion route will be via: Leicester Road, Desford Road, and King Edward Avenue, Narborough.

Church Lane, Whitwick

A road closure and prohibition of waiting and loading is required on Church Lane from its junction with Thornborough Road for approximately 100m towards Swannington on October 20 for three days.

Closures and restrictions will be in place daily between 09.00 and 15.00. The Temporary Traffic Regulation Order will be implemented for public safety so Leicestershire County Council can facilitate the relocation of a street lighting column.

The proposed alternative diversion route will be via: Church Lane, Main Street, Spring Lane, Swannington; Spring Lane, Thornborough Road, Whitwick; and vice versa.
