Leicestershire TTROs: a round-up of the latest traffic orders

The following temporary traffic regulation orders have recently been announced:

Church Street, Swepstone

A road closure is required on Church Street on July 8 for one day. The Temporary Traffic Regulation Order will be implemented for public safety for Leicestershire County Council to facilitate carriageway maintenance.

The proposed alternative diversion route will be via: Main Street, Swepstone, Swepstone Road, Gallows Lane, Bosworth Road, Measham; Bosworth Road, Swepstone Road; Snarestone, and vice versa.

Ravenslea, Ravenstone

A road closure is required on Ravenslea (near to properties 12-18) on July 6 for one day. The Temporary Traffic Regulation Order will be implemented for public safety for Severn Trent Water to facilitate remedial carriageway works.

Botts Lane, Appleby Magna

A road closure is required on Botts Lane on July 7 for three days. The Temporary Traffic Regulation Order will be implemented for public safety for Cadent Gas to facilitate new connections.

The proposed alternative diversion route will be via: Snarestone Road, Top Street and vice versa.

Willesley Woodside, Willesley

A road closure is required on Willesley Woodside near to Wood Farm Cottages on July 9 for one day. Works are scheduled to take place between 09.00 and 15.00.

The Temporary Traffic Regulation Order will be implemented for public safety for Leicestershire County Council to facilitate carriageway maintenance.

The proposed alternative diversion route will be via: Willesley Lane, Ashby de la Zouch; Ashby Road, Moira Road, Donisthorpe; Measham Road, Ashby Road, Moira; and vice versa.

Pretoria Road, Ibstock

A prohibition of waiting and loading is required on Pretoria Road between property numbers 45 and 89 on July 1 for one day between 09.00 and 15.00.

The Temporary Traffic Regulation Order will be implemented for public safety for Leicestershire County Council to facilitate drainage investigation works.

Coventry Road, Narborough

The purpose of the TTRO is to allow Severn Trent Water to safely undertake four new connections. The TTRO will incorporate a temporary parking restriction.

The duration of the restriction is not anticipated to exceed a period of three days commencing on July 26.

Green Lane, Wilson

The purpose of the TTRO is to allow Stone Construction Ltd on behalf of Alexander Bruce Estates to safely facilitate development infrastructure works and carriageway resurfacing.

The TTRO will incorporate a temporary road closure. The duration of the restriction is not anticipated to exceed a period of two days within the three months of the order commencing on August 13.

A512 Ashby Road, Loughborough

The purpose of the TTRO is to allow Leicestershire County Council to safely undertake carriageway resurfacing works. The TTRO will incorporate temporary road closures.

The duration of the restriction is not anticipated to exceed a period of five nights (20.00 till 06.00) commencing on August 16.

Butt Lane, Husbands Bosworth

A prohibition of waiting and loading is required on Butt Lane, Husbands Bosworth, on July 7 for one day.

The Temporary Traffic Regulation Order will be implemented for public safety for Leicestershire County Council to facilitate gully replacement works.

From Moor Hill to End, Hallaton

A road closure is required from Moor Hill to End, Hallaton, on June 24 for six months.

The TTRO will be implemented for public safety for Leicestershire County Council to facilitate the protection of a badger's set in the middle of the road. The proposed alternative diversion route will be signed on site.

Foan Hill, Swannington

The purpose of the TTRO is to allow Western Power Distribution to safely facilitate tree cutting. The TTRO will incorporate a temporary road closure.

The duration of the restriction is not anticipated to exceed a period of one day commencing on August 4.

Sutton Lane, Broughton Astley

A road closure is required on Sutton Lane, Broughton Astley, on July 8 for two days.

The Temporary Traffic Regulation Order will be implemented for public safety for Leicestershire County Council to facilitate the installation of new gullies.

West Avenue, Wigston

The purpose of the TTRO is to allow Severn Trent Water to excavate and repair a damaged sewer line. The TTRO will incorporate a temporary road closure.

The duration of the restriction is not anticipated to exceed a period of five days commencing on September 6.

Prow C41, Fleckney

A road closure is required on PROW C41, Fleckney, on July 12 for one day. The Temporary Traffic Regulation Order will be implemented for public safety for Leicestershire County Council to facilitate footpath patching works.

The proposed alternative diversion route will be via: Batchelor Road, Pells Close and vice versa.

Church Street, Market Harborough

A road closure is required on Church Street, Market Harborough, at the junction with High Street on July 12 for one day between 07.30 - 17.00.

The Temporary Traffic Regulation Order will be implemented for public safety for NMCN Plc to facilitate Virgin Media Works.

The proposed alternative diversion route will be via: High Street, Bowden Lane, Doddridge Road, Kings Road and vice versa.

Saddington Road, Fleckney

A road closure and temporary suspension of 7.5T weight restriction is required on Saddington Road, Fleckney, between Badcock Way and The Meer on July 12 for 25 days between 08.00 - 15.00 excluding weekends.

Access to Fleckney Industrial Estate will be from the Fleckney centre direction. The Temporary Traffic Regulation Order will be implemented for public safety for Leicestershire County Council to facilitate highway drainage improvement works.

The proposed alternative diversion route will be via: Fleckney Road (Saddington), Kibworth Road, Warwick Road (Kibworth Beauchamp), Wistow Road (Kibworth Harcourt), Kibworth Road (Wistow), Fleckney Road, Leicester Road (Fleckney), High Street, and vice versa.

Kettering Road, Market Habrorough

A 24/7 road closure is required on Kettering Road, Market Harborough, between Bellfields Lane and Jordan Close on July 12 for 12 days.

The Temporary Traffic Regulation Order will be implemented for public safety for Leicestershire County Council to facilitate new traffic signal installation.

Leicester Road, Melton Mowbray

Due to unforeseen circumstances the temporary traffic lights are required to remain on Leicester Road (close to the Edendale Roundabout) until July 13.

The temporary traffic management has been implemented for public safety so Bellway Homes and their contractors can undertake Section 278 development works on the highway.

Six Hills Roadt, Ragdale

A road closure is required on Six Hills Road outside Hill Side Farm from July 12 for three days.

The Temporary Traffic Regulation Order has been implemented for public safety so Severn Trent Water can install a new service connection.

The proposed alternative diversion route will be via: Six Hills Lane, Broughton and Old Dalby; Loughborough Road, Grimston; Loughborough Road, Hoby Road, Asfordby; Frisby Road, Ragdale Road, Hoby; Hoby Road, Ragdale; and vice versa

New Road, Burton Lazars

The purpose of the TTRO is to allow Severn Trent Water to carry out mains replacement works. The TTRO will incorporate a temporary road closure.

The duration of the restriction is not anticipated to exceed a period of 12 days commencing on August 23.

Main Street/St Georges HIll, Swannington

Road closures and temporary prohibition of waiting and loading is required on the above locations between Church Lane and A512 Loughborough Road on July 12 for two weeks.

Works will take place daily, Monday to Friday 07.30 to 18.00, with the road reopened at other times. Waiting/loading restrictions will be on a rolling basis as works progress.

The Temporary Traffic Regulation Order will be implemented for public safety for Leicestershire County Council to facilitate carriageway and footway patching.

Forest Road, Woodhouse Eaves

A temporary road closure is required on Forest Road from July 19 for two weeks. The road will be closed between the junction of Briscoe Lane and the junction of Beaumanor Gardens.

The Temporary Traffic Regulation Order will be implemented for public safety to allow J.O Groundworks Ltd to undertake foul water connections and other drainage works in connection with the new development.

The proposed alternative diversion route will be via: Woodhouse Road (Quorn), Loughborough Road (Quorn), A6004 Terry Yardley Way, A6004 Ling Road, A6004 Epinal Way, Forest Road, Nanpanton Road (Loughborough), Nanpanton Road (Nanpanton), B5330 Shepshed Road, Beacon Road (Woodhouse Eaves), and vice versa.

High Street, Sileby

A temporary road closure is required on High Street from July 12 for up to 12 days. The road will be closed between the junction of Brook Street and the junction of King Street.

During the works Footpath I49 will be closed from its junction with High Street to the Electric Sub Station.

The Temporary Traffic Regulation Order will be implemented for public safety to allow Western Power Distribution Ltd to undertake works to lay new cables in the carriageway.
