Leicestershire TTROs: Recent traffic orders

The following temporary traffic regulation orders have recently been announced:

Loddington Road, Tilton

The purpose of the TTRO is to allow Leicestershire County Council and associated contractors to facilitate carriageway patching works.

The TTRO will incorporate a temporary road closure. The duration of the restriction is not anticipated to exceed a period of one day commencing on October 29.

Brookside, Rearsby

A temporary prohibition of waiting and loading at any time restriction was due to take place on Brookside on October 22.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the date has now changed.

The works will now be undertaken on December 21 for one day.

The restriction will be enforced on both sides of the carriageway, between properties 15 and 19.

The Temporary Traffic Regulation Order will be implemented for public safety to allow Leicestershire County Council to undertake carriageway drainage works.

Great Glen Road, Little Stretton

The purpose of the TTRO is to allow Leicestershire County Council to facilitate carriageway patching works. The TTRO will incorporate a temporary road closure.

The duration of the restriction is not anticipated to exceed a period of one day commencing on November 5.

Southway, Blaby

A road closure and prohibition of waiting is required on Southway for two days commencing on October 28.

The Temporary Traffic Regulation Order will be implemented for public safety for Leicestershire County Council to undertake carriageway patching work.

The proposed alternative diversion route will be via: Lutterworth Road, Western Drive, Winchester Road.

Winchester Avenue, Blaby

A road closure is required on Winchester Avenue from its junction with the Blaby Bypass to the junction with Foulds Lane for up to five days commencing on October 25.

Various lane closures on the Blaby Bypass and roundabout will also be in place for the duration of the work.

The Temporary Traffic Regulation Order will be implemented for public safety for Virgin Media to safely facilitate maintenance and installation of equipment.

The proposed alternative diversion route will be via: Blaby Bypass, Winchester Avenue, Blaby.

Foxton Road, Gumley

The purpose of the TTRO is to allow Leicestershire County Council to facilitate carriageway patching works.The TTRO will incorporate a temporary road closure.

The duration of the restriction is not anticipated to exceed a period of one day commencing on November 5.

Frisby and Kings Norton

The purpose of the TTRO is to allow Leicestershire County Council to facilitate carriageway patching works.

The TTRO will incorporate a temporary road closure. The duration of the restriction is not anticipated to exceed a period of one day commencing on November 4.

Midway Lane, Walton

The purpose of the TTRO is to allow Leicestershire County Council to facilitate gully repair works. The TTRO will incorporate a temporary road closure.

The works will commence on November 16.

Manor Road, Bitteswell

An emergency road closure is required on Manor Road, Bitteswell outside Rose Cottage on November 18 for up to 21 days, but the order is expected to be in force for three days.

The Temporary Traffic Regulation Order will be implemented for public safety for Severn Trent Water to facilitate emergency repairs to a water leak.

Pickwell Lane, Little Dalby

A road closure is required on Pickwell Lane outside Debdale Lodge for 100 metres approximately on November 2 for three days (09.30am-5.30pm).

The Temporary Traffic Regulation Order has been implemented for public safety so BT Openreach can install service apparatus.

The proposed alternative diversion route will be via: Pickwell Lane, from Gartree Hill Road to Pickwell Lane, from Gartree Hill Road to Melton Road Little Dalby, Oakham Road (A606), Pickwell Road Leesthorpe and vice versa.

Melbourne Road/Footpath M103, Newbold Coleorton

A road closure is required on November 1 for eight working days, Monday to Friday between 07.00 to 18.00 as follows:

Melbourne Road between Nottingham Road and Ashby Road. Works will be phased as follows:

November 1 - from Nottingham Road to north of TNT Entrance. These works will also need temporary traffic signals on Nottingham Road/Melbourne Road junction.
November 2 - from north of TNT entrance to south of TNT Entrance
November 3 to 10 - from south of TNT entrance to Ashby Road

Footpath M103 between Rempstone Road and School Lane on November 9 for two days.

A temporary suspension of 7.5t weight limit is also required on Melbourne Road for the duration of works.

The Temporary Traffic Regulation Order will be implemented for public safety for Leicestershire County Council to facilitate carriageway patching.

The proposed alternative diversion route will be via: B587 Nottingham Road, Worthington/Lount/Ashby de la Zouch; A511, Flagstaff Roundabout, Ashby de la Zouch; A512 Ashby Road, Rempstone Road, Coleorton; Rempstone Road, Worthington; and vice versa.

Mantle Lane, Coalville

The Temporary Traffic Regulation Order will be implemented for public safety for Severn Trent Water to facilitate emergency repairs to a burst water main.

An emergency road closure is required on Mantle Lane southbound between Comet Way and Memorial Square from October 19.

Due to the location of works, you are unable to circulate the roundabout on Mantle Lane/Memorial Square/Wolsey Road. The road will reopen once works are complete.

The proposed alternative diversion route will be via: Comet Way, Vulcan Way, Whitwick Road, Hotel Street and High Street.

Ling Road, Loughborough

Temporary parking bay suspensions and temporary prohibition of waiting and loading at any time restrictions were scheduled to take place on the link road between Ling Road and Park Road from October 18.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the works were cancelled. The works have now been rescheduled to commence on October 30 for four days. The parking bays opposite the shops will be suspended.

During the works, a temporary prohibition of waiting and loading restriction will be enforced within the suspended parking bays.

The Temporary Traffic Regulation Order will be implemented for public safety to allow Centurion Traffic Management undertake Telecom works and the installation of a new mast.

Leicester Road, Shepshed

A temporary road closure is required on Leicester Road and Cambridge Street from November 4 2021 for two days.

Leicester Road will be closed between properties 92 to 263. Cambridge Street will be closed at its junction with Leicester Road.

The Temporary Traffic Regulation Order will be implemented for public safety to allow Severn Trent Water to undertake works to repair the sewer pipes.

The proposed alternative diversion route will be via: A512 Ashby Road Central, Charnwood Road, Kirkhill and vice versa.

Kimcote Road, Gilmorton

The purpose of the TTRO is to allow Phoenix Surfacing Limited on behalf of Barwood Homes to facilitate S278 full width carriageway resurfacing works.

The TTRO will incorporate a temporary road closure.

The duration of the restriction is not anticipated to exceed a period of one day commencing on November 9.

Granville Street, Loughborough

Temporary parking bay suspensions and temporary prohibition of waiting and loading at any time restrictions are required on Granville Street from November 8 for one day.

The restrictions will be enforced on both sides of the carriageway, between the junction of Burleigh Road and the junction of Ashby Road.

The Temporary Traffic Regulation Order will be implemented for public safety to allow Leicestershire County Council to undertake works to replace street lighting columns.

Winster Drive, Thurmaston

A temporary road closure is required on Winster Drive from November 4 for one day, 09.00 till 15.00.

The road will be closed at its junction with Melton Road. Access will be maintained whenever it is safe to do so.

The Temporary Traffic Regulation Order will be implemented for public safety to allow Leicestershire County Council to safely undertake patching works on Melton Road.

Talbot Street, Whitwick

The purpose of the TTRO is to allow Allroads Asphalt for Jack Loggin Ltd to safely facilitate new sewer connection and footway works.

The TTRO will incorporate a temporary road closure. Due to the nature and location of the sewer connection, there will be no through route for emergency services.

The duration of the restriction is not anticipated to exceed a period of nine days commencing on February 12.
