Letter to Editor: Can you help with search for Crosby soldier's relatives?

This letter was written by John Harrington

Dear Editor,

I shall be obliged if you will help me trace relatives of my uncle Edward Harrington who lived for a while at Cambridge Ave, Crosby, and who died in the 1970s.

I have documents relating to his life and service in the Irish Guards in World War 1.

I have details of all the actions he was involved in including the details of his capture as a POW.

His capture is mentioned in Rudyard Kipling’s book on the Irish Guards.

I would love to pass this information on to his relatives and shall be grateful for any help you can give.

Yours faithfully,

John Harrington
